John Roman is a producer that is quickly emerging in our local electronic music scene. We’ve blogged about him before here at ElectroTO so you know his deal.
I had been eagerly waiting some new John Roman material for a while now, when John finally sent over his new track “Carnivores” not too long ago. While it’s different than his previous works, I think it’s a sign of John Roman truly coming into his own. When I first started following Roman’s stuff, both his remixes and his original productions did well to emulate the in vogue Crookers fidget-esque sound. However, Roman has broken away from the crowd and has gone his own way with a harder and grungier piece. I honestly hope that this is the direction he sticks with in the future.
