Heavy Bass Champion

February 23, 2010

The track below will have a lot of people divided. You will either love it or hate it and that doesn’t mean that either feeling towards it will stay that way for very long. Off Trouble & Bass’ “Heavybass Champions of the World Vol I”, Doomsday Device has Drop the Lime going in a new direction. There are no vocals, there is no wobbling bass – only a jacking party tune that is so in tune with the kind of music that he likes to throw down in his sets. It’s been floating around for a while and we sat on it as we were a bit unsure what you’d think about it but we’ve decided to put decision up to you.

Drop the Lime is just one of the many producers that seems to be switching up their style a little as of late, which is just as well because our ears are always on high alert for something with a fresh sound regardless of who’s pumping it out. It still has a little bit of filth at the bottom end for the heavy bass lovers, but the main high pitched frequencies is what will either make you love this track or drop it from the playlist after your first listen. Here’s to artists branching out and to listeners doing the same. Try this one on for size and see how you feel about the new, bass-reduced sound.
