What goes through Hugo Douster’s mind when he sits down in his production room? Or perhaps the more pertinent question is, what banned substance is assisting him in the creation of these tracks-from-the-future. His work consistently stands alone, spastic, out of control, out of this world, in the most peculiar yet fascinating way. A while back, we posted the Douster remix of Jugo Carioca & Diario Popular, and it yielded a similar result. It’s nowhere close to proper house, and can only be described, as Teki Latex famously did, as “lazer cumbia and sand-storm-reggeton”.
The latest remix we’re dishing out from Douster is an eclectic mix of all things dubstep, trance, hiphop, tribal and reggeton (of the sand-storm variety), all wrapped up in a space-bound pseudo love-song. If you’re wondering why this is even relevant on this space, we don’t have a particularly convincing answer for you, besides the fact that we like to spice it up once in a while. You know? Throw you the odd curve ball. If you hate it that much, use our comments section accordingly. Either way, check out the full 320kbps version below.
