Almost a year ago, the entire electronic music industry was infatuated with six words spoken exclusively from the CDJs of Boys Noize — you may recall — “Come with me … Do you remember?”. Of course, months later, we all know that this chilling robotic phrase comes from the song Kontact Me, featured on Boys Noize’s second full length album, Power.
Our reason for revisiting musical history stems from the fact that Toronto-based DJ/Producer, and electroTO homeboy Rynecologist, has seemingly breathed new life into this epic track. (Of course you may remember Ryne for his work with DSL of Ed Banger). The video above showcases Ryne’s Turbine Remix of Kontact Me, being played by none other than Boys Noize himself, at Fuse in Belgium. Take three and half minutes to watch this, and revel in the beauty of tremendous producing by Ryne, and impeccable DJing by Alex (BN).
Our introduction into the Blogosphere’s “Century Club” (our 100th post) truly could not have come at a more opportune time. Post number 100 somehow coincided with the most anticipated world tour since Justice made their rounds as a part of “A Cross The Universe”, which took place almost exactly a year ago — the tour that we speak of is the Boys Noize Power World Tour.
In somewhat of a surprising development, Boys Noize will make two stops in Southern Ontario. The first of which will take place TONIGHT, as a part of Timebomb Tuesday, located at Tattoo Rock Parlour on 567 Queen Street West. Meanwhile, the second date is set to go down Thursday, in one of Canada’s electronic strongholds, London, Ontario. The London date will take place at the notorious London Music Hall.
Both of these dates also feature a glut of local talent and electroTO faves. In particular, at the London show, you will see the likes of Bordello, Golden Gloves, John Roman, and Gingy. In Toronto, our homeboy Nasty Nav will assume the crowd warming duties. For more info on both of these events, see below!
In the spirit of our 100th post, we have a gift for our dedicated following, and it conveniently maintains the Boys Noize theme. This track would likely garner several votes as one of the biggest live tunes of all time. For you, we have “Kontact Me”. Happy 100!

It’s been well-documented over the past week that Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, of Bloody Beetroots fame, put his personal touch on the Boys Noize & Erol Alkan collaboration “Death Suite”. We here at electroTO resisted the temptation of posting the original track, due to clear indications from the artist, but the edit by Mr. Rifo (or Bobermann) is certainly fair-game.
Upon its release, Death Suite was notorious for it’s unconventional (though beautiful) Acid House make-up. Rifo effectively tones down the experimental aspect, and in typical Beetroots fashion, makes it a d-floor weapon. The first thing that jumped out, was the addition of a Proxy-like snare that, in my humble opinion, worked miracles for the piece. Bobermann timed his samples perfectly, his drops are graciously unsubtle, and enough of the original is left in tact that you’re not left scratching your head. Quite plainly, the track is absolutely dirty.
It’s not like this individual needs much of an introduction. He’s arguably the best DJ in the world at the moment, and we have had the pleasure of seeing him twice here in Toronto– both times at This Is London nightclub. His name is Alex, but you probably know him as Boys Noize, the overlord of Boys Noize Records, and the man who has produced some of the most notorious unreleased material in recent memory.
Though everyone and their mother is talking about the infamous “Come With Me” track that surfaced during his tour earlier this year, two other bangers flew completely under the radar. Both of these tracks can be heard in full on Boys Noize’s MySpace, and will appear on the still unreleased Starter EP.
One of these track, which bears the same name as the EP itself (“Starter”), is the quintessential hard-hitting, mind-blowing, Boys Noize track. It got a unanimous five star rating from myself and Trackson, and most importantly, we are proud to announce that we have it for you in all its 320kbps glory. Enjoy kids, and don’t say we don’t love you.
