Kleine Traume

October 17, 2010

If the most recent Boys Noize release wasn’t epic enough for you punks, the label has just released another hybrid electro-techno gem from German heavy weight D.I.M. This track entitled Kleine Traume has all the makings of something special. The distorted synth progressions and clean percussion phrasing give you a combination of bounce and groove that is typical of the Boys Noize impresario, but instead from his well-established, right-hand man. Rumour has it this track was the talk of Electric Zoo, where it made its most public debut. Since then, its popularity has spread like wildfire, and we’re sure that this well put-together EP will catapult BNR into top label contention at year’s end.

The track has potential in the car, on the subway, or any other scenario that would put you in a situation where you need a massive energy boost (assuming you dont have the $11 dollars necessary to buy a Booster Juice with an energy boost). Sadly, my producer senses are tingling and I feel like it is only a matter of time before someone slows down those synth loops and slaps a dubstep bass line on this puppy. I’m a closet fan of dubstep so I’m interested in said prophecy, but for the time being I’ll enjoy this one as it stands as I hope you will as well.

What’s Good Wednesday!?

Tiga @ Labour Of Love

The Headliner: Tiga w/ D.I.M., The Whip, AutoErotique & More, Sun. @ Guvernment

Toronto’s saturation of dance music talent this weekend can be attributed to the Guvernment’s annual Labour Day festival, conveniently named “Labour of Love”. This year’s crop of performers within the famous “electro tent” is a truly star-studded affair, with Turbo Recordings mainstay, Tiga, holding down the grand finale. Tiga is joined by Boys Noize Records product D.I.M.,  fresh off his absolutely mind-numbing collaboration with TAI, entited “Lyposuct”. The evenings openers include The Whip, DIM MAK’s AutoErotique, hometown hero Nasty Nav, among many others.

The Opener: Milano, Nasty Nav, Brandon Sek, Barletta, Fri. @ Mod Club

The inaugural night for Arcade Friday’s brings a haul of local talent that is brimming over the top. Former Randomland boss, and Turbo Recordings artist Milano will be joined by Wrongbar’s Nasty Nav, Brandon Sek, and Barletta. With FAK, The Jons, and Mansion all in on this one, there will likely be a lot of beautiful people, and vodka being used for both consumption and bathing. Should be nuts.

The Opener: Brandon Sek & Paul Revered, Sat. @ Tota

Our choice for Saturday is a bit of a sleeper, but totally worth the trek to Queen West. The spot is called Tota and the music will be an eclectic mix of house, tech house and techno. Music to be provided by the very talented Brandon Sek and Paul Revered. We had the chance to check out Sek last weekend at the Faktory Loft afterparty with Drop The Lime, and Blatta & Inesha –  and seriously, Brandon Sek absolutely blew us away. Don’t sleep on this Toronto.

The Opener: Real Talk, The FranDiscos & Deadlines, Wed. @ Pacha

Tonight, Pacha’s “Movie Night” will host the talented duo Real Talk, our homeboy’s The FranDiscos and Deadlines. The evening is a FAK production, which assures you that shit will indefinitely pop-off. Pacha is very solid venue, and the bill is right, so make your way down to 1305 Dundas and have yourself a good one.

D.I.M. & TAI

There is simply nothing better then being able to post a track as highly anticipated as this one–  because it need  virtually no preface at all. Ladies and gentlemen, BNR 035 is here, and the infamous “Lyposuct” has arrived. For those living under a rock, Boys Noize Records’ heavyweight D.I.M. has teamed up with BNR newcomer TAI, to bring us one of the most convulsive bangers of the summer.

Embrace the aural psychosis that ensues, and enjoy in full 320kbps.

Ladies and gentlemen. If you have not seen the above clip, you are seriously depriving yourself, because even in the quality of a Youtube video, every sane mind knows the new D.I.M. track (set to be released at the end of this summer) entitled “Lyposuct” will be the next big thing. The track has been publicly endorsed by Boys Noize himself,  who started hyping the track via his Twitter account, some earlier this week (or it may have been last week I don’t remember).

Anyways, when we’re not dancing around old lady’s cars, The Vamp and I are searching for the music that will touch your soul and more importantly music that is necessary to the survival of any electro lover. That being said, 160kbps was the best we could do. While no one is a fan of low quality tracks, at least you can have it there to make your mouth water and give you something to live for. The banger from the German producer comes out on Boys Noize Records July 20/09, and from what I hear, the Noob remix is even better–  how is that even possible?

D.I.M. & TAI – Lyposuct (set rip) – Enjoy Responsibly (160kpbs).
