Here at electroTO, we have a tendency to fall in love with record labels at any given time. We give no warning, it kinda just happens — true love. The latest victim of our amorous electronic passion is a Berlin-based label known as “Made To Play”. These guys have just recently begun releasing digitals, and they’ve wasted no time shocking the world of house music.
The cats involved include label-boss Jesse Rose, alongside a star-studded cast with names such as Riva Starr, Idiotproof, Oliver $, Claude VonStroke, Zombie Disco Squad, and Jan Driver. The label explains that they strive to push the boundaries of house music in an attempt to “keep proper house music alive”.
The track we have today comes from the latest Made To Play release (MTPD004), and is an absolute scorcher by Mr. Oliver $ (pronounced Oliver Dollar). This raging red-head, pictured third from the left in the above photo, has been cranking out some of the most ridiculous and innovative tech tracks in modern memory. The original cut of “You Got It!” bumps like mad, with so many intricate sounds and some numbing bass, the future of house music is on display for all to see.
